Technical Sales

Job Summary

As a Technical Sales at FILPAL (M) SDN BHD, your role is to develop a deep understanding of FILPAL’s software and turnkey RF solutions. You are expected to communicate technical specifications clearly, present solutions effectively, and support both local and outstation marketing activities. This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and sales strategy execution to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop an in-depth understanding of FILPAL’s products and services, including EDA software, RF turnkey solutions, training programs, and collaborations.

- Promote FILPAL’s values and offerings to customers, leads, and distributors.

- Translate technical concepts into customer-friendly explanations and use cases.

- Perform market research, competitor analysis, and provide data-driven recommendations.

- Collaborate internally to develop sales strategies and customized proposals.

- Conduct technical product presentations and demonstrations.

- Schedule and conduct custom product demos, training sessions, and related activities.

- Provide pre-sales and post-sales customer support and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Engage global distributors for collaboration and product promotion.

- Follow up on leads, inquiries, opportunities, and distributor activities.

- Maintain customer relationships and support the development of long-term engagements.

- Assist in generating quotations, Delivery Orders, invoices, and purchase order tracking.

- Manage NDAs, authorization letters, and related documentation.

- Tabulate and document leads and customer interactions for internal analysis.

- Attend weekly internal meetings to provide updates and align on action items.

- Travel in and out of the country to meet vendors, distributors, and customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field

Experience:
Skillsets:
  • Strong command in Bahasa Melayu, Chinese and English.

  • Demonstrate strong aptitude in understanding engineering concepts in the scope of hardware components, engineering software products and technical services.

  • Demonstrate persuasive and honest communication style in talking with potential clients.

  • Demonstrate understanding in utilizing rhetorics in speech, visual presentation and principles in communication with customers and internal team members.

  • Strong understanding of utilizing excel spreadsheets to record marketing activities and derive reports and market research info from it.

  • Strong understanding in creating and preparing reports to be used in presentation to company’s superiors on marketing performance metrics and recommendations.

  • Familiar in using engineering tools such as (Ansys HFSS, CST Studio or Pathwave ADS)

Optional Skillsets:
  • Demonstrate ability to work and self-learn independently.

  • Possess outspoken nature with good EQ in instructing people to adhere to policies.

  • Demonstrate ability to identify and prioritize tasks based on urgency.

  • Demonstrate ability for good time management in handling multiple job scopes.

  • Familiar with usage of AI, its potential and its danger.
