RFDF Applications Engineer – SDR-Based Systems

Salary Range:

RM3,000 - RM4,500

Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven RFDF Applications Engineer to lead the development of  application-level software for RF Direction Finding (RFDF) systems built on top of Software  Defined Radio (SDR) platforms. This role focuses on creating user-facing functionality,  decision logic, integration with backend signal processing modules, and providing actionable  RF intelligence data for end users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop application-layer software that interfaces with SDR-based RFDF systems.

  • Build control logic, signal classification workflows, and geolocation features (e.g.,  AoA triangulation, signal tracking).

  • Design APIs and communication protocols between RF front-ends, SDR signal  processors, and application modules.

  • Create user interfaces or dashboards for RFDF visualization and control (e.g.,  real-time bearings, heatmaps).

  • Integrate with external systems such as GPS, compass modules, maps, or data fusion  platforms.

  • Perform data analysis and validation using field-captured RFDF data.

  • Assist in testing and evaluating overall system performance in real-world  environments.

  • Collaborate with signal processing and hardware teams to ensure smooth system  operation from raw RF data to final output.

  • Document software architecture, algorithms, and operational procedures.
