Job Summary
The RF Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for managing daily laboratory operations to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, SAMM, and Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS) requirements. This role supervises technical staff, validates the accuracy of radio frequency (RF) measurement and calibration results, with a specific focus on wireless technologies (4G LTE, WiFi, and Bluetooth). The Supervisor ensures the reliability of RF instruments and works closely with the Technical Manager (TM) to implement technical training, method validation, and quality assurance programs, while ensuring impartiality and adherence to good professional practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure full compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, SAMM, and LQMS requirements. Cooperate with the TM to manage and monitor the implementation of the Quality Management System. Assist in the execution of internal/external audits and Management Reviews. Implement QA/QC programs, including Proficiency Testing (PT) and Inter-Laboratory Comparisons (ILC). Ensure strict adherence to impartiality and confidentiality requirements as stipulated in the laboratory’s undertaking. Supervise and monitor technical staff to ensure compliance with RF Test Procedures, safety rules, and laboratory regulations. Perform technical verification of Calibration/Test Worksheets, Analysis Worksheets, and Measurement Uncertainty calculations to ensure data accuracy. Review and verify Calibration Certificates / Test Reports to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 (Clauses 7.8.2 - 7.8.4) before issuance. Act as an Approved Signatory to sign and approve Calibration Certificates/Test Reports. Responsible for resolving disputes regarding result validity and reporting. Assist the TM in ensuring all laboratory instruments are properly maintained, have valid calibrations, and are fit for purpose. Perform or oversee method verification, validation, and the development of new test methods (if applicable). Verify the decision rules used for making statements of conformity (Pass/Fail judgments). Assist the TM in formulating and implementing training and competency programs for technical staff. Lead and motivate technical staff to participate in laboratory quality and improvement activities. Ensure all laboratory personnel adhere to good professional practice and ethical conduct at all times. Assist with ad-hoc tasks to ensure the operational readiness of the laboratory. The Laboratory Supervisor reports directly to the Technical Manager (TM).
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunication Engineering or a relevant technical field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of extensive working experience in an RF test & measurement or calibration laboratory / production environment.
Hands-on experience performing RF measurements (LTE / WiFi / Bluetooth) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of RF instrument operation (Benchtops / Test Systems), maintenance, and measurement uncertainty evaluation.
Familiar with ISO/IEC 17025, SAMM and Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS) requirements.
Experience in internal auditing, method validation, and risk assessment is a strong advantage.
Proficient in test methods, measurement techniques and data analysis.
Knowledge of QA/QC program, PT/ILC participation and traceability requirements.
Ability to identify and manage nonconformities, corrective actions and risk assessments.
Competent to act as an Approved Signatory.
