Production/ Senior Engineer (SG)

Job Summary

To lead daily production operations for RF/electronic hardware assembly. This role supervises production staff, ensures output meets quality, schedule, and safety targets, and coordinates closely with quality, engineering, and materials teams to keep the line running smoothly. The ideal candidate has strong people-management skills combined with hands-on experience in electronics assembly, IQC/quality processes, and lean manufacturing.

Experience

Key Responsibilities:

● Supervise, schedule, and coach the production team, setting daily and weekly targets while proactively monitoring progress and escalating risks as needed.
● Ensure production lines run according to approved work instructions and SOPs for RF/electronic assemblies.
● Monitor line output, yield, and downtime; drive corrective action for bottlenecks or recurring stoppages.
● Step in to provide hands-on support with assembly and testing when needed.
● Coordinate interplant material flow to prevent line stoppages, including managing parts withdrawal and stock-unavailability contingencies.
● Work with Procurement/Supply Chain on component availability and supplier related production issues.
● Liaise with RnD & Engineering on process improvements, new product introductions, and documentation updates (SOPs, flowcharts, forms)
● Provide floor-level input to lessons-learned reviews after major projects, flagging People, Process, Equipment, or Logistics issues.
● Enforce IQC and in-process quality checkpoints; ensure non-conforming material is properly identified, segregated, and reported.
● Lead root cause investigations for production-related quality escapes (e.g., batch failures, defect trends) and implement corrective actions on the floor.
● Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance/discipline issues, and support hiring and onboarding of production staff.
● Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on the floor.
● AOB as assigned.

Qualifications:

● Degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
● Proven track record managing a production team (headcount, scheduling, performance) in a fast-paced or lean SME environment.
● Experience designing or improving shop-floor documentation (flowcharts, withdrawal forms, trackers).
● Fresh graduate is welcomed to apply.
● Senior level will be considered for more than 7 years experiences.

● Solid understanding of lean production work flow, 5S, safety and quality compliances and root cause analysis tools
● Comfortable reading assembly drawings, work instructions, and RF hardware documentation.
● Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and effective communication to guide floor operators.
