

Lab Inventory Coordinator

Job Summary
The Lab Inventory Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective inventory control within the NPI / Prototype Lab environment. This role ensures accurate tracking, availability, and proper management of all laboratory materials, components, and equipment used for prototype development and engineering activities.
The position supports engineering productivity by ensuring critical components and tools are properly managed while maintaining strong inventory governance, traceability, and stock accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Control & Governance
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing lab items are properly recorded and traceable
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the SQL system
- Enforce inventory control processes and ensure compliance within the lab
- Maintain and update tool and equipment master list, including ISO records and calibration tracking
2. Stock Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or critical items
- Conduct periodic stock audits and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain calibration master list and track due dates for tools/equipment
- Provide inventory and status reports to support planning and replenishment
3. Lab Operations & Engineering Support
- Manage receiving, storage, and issuance of lab materials, components, and tools
- Perform basic incoming inspection (IQC) including quantity verification and visual inspection
- Support engineers with timely access to required items, including urgent requests
- Maintain organized storage and ensure easy retrieval of inventory
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline.

- Basic knowledge of inventory control principles.
- Familiarity with inventory databases or SQL-based systems.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
