RF Test Technician

Job Summary

The RF Test Technician is responsible for performing radio frequency (RF) test & measurement activities as assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor (LS) and Technical Manager (TM) in accordance with approved Test Procedures, Working Instructions, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. This role involves operating and maintaining RF instruments, ensuring accurate test results, and supporting compliance with the Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS). This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge wireless standards (WiFi 6E/7) and gain deep expertise in regulatory compliance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible to perform RF tests & measurements assigned by LS and TM according to approved Test Procedure and Working Instruction.Abide by rules and regulation of the laboratory on Impartiality and Confidentiality and in operation.Operate and maintain Test Instruments according to Instrument Manual, Instrument Procedure and Test Procedure.Participate in training and competency program arranged by Laboratory management.Cooperate with LS and TM in the implementation of LQMS and ISO/IEC 17025.Assist in the implementation of internal and external audits.Adhere to good professional practice at all times.Assist the LS and TM in ensuring the test instruments in the laboratory are properly maintained with valid calibrations, and fit for intended purposes.Maintain data integrity and strict adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.10. Assist with ad-hoc tasks to ensure the operational readiness of the laboratory.

11. The RF Test Technician reports directly to the LS/TM.

Qualifications:

Certificate or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunication Engineering / Technology or any relevant technical field.A

Experience:

At least 1 year of working experience in an RF test & measurement or calibration laboratory / production is preferred.Familiarity with RF test instrument (e.g., RF Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, etc.) operation, maintenance, and test procedures relevant to the scope of the laboratory.Exposure to RF automated test systems or regulatory test (FCC/ETSI) is a strong plus.Ability to execute RF test & measurements strictly according to standard instrument manuals, calibration, test methods, and laboratory working instructions.Basic knowledge of QA/QC practices, data collection and reporting accuracy.Able to identify and report instrument malfunction or nonconformity to the LS.Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn may be considered for trainee positions.
