
Production Planner & Inventory Controller (SG)
JOB OVERVIEW
Candidate own the production planning cycle, translating sales forecasts and confirmed orders into realistic production schedules that align with capacity, manpower, and material availability. This includes coordinating closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to sequence builds in a way that minimizes downtime and rework, particularly as the Singapore site scales output. Candidate will serve as backup to cover warehouse/logistic operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop production schedules based on sales forecasts and confirmed orders, aligned with capacity, manpower, and material availability.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to sequence builds and minimize downtime/rework during the production ramp.
- Manage purchasing of production components and consumables; coordinate with suppliers on lead times and delivery timelines.
- Maintain BOM-driven material requirements planning; track open purchase orders and flag shortages/excess stock early.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and resolve discrepancies between system and physical stock.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives as production volumes scale.
- Serve as primary contact for product return from customer, schedule rework and coordinate with customer on post rework delivery. Keep all production records update accordingly for traceability purpose.
- Serve as backup for warehouse inbound/outbound operations — goods receipt, put-away, picking, packing, and shipment processing.
- AOB as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in production planning, materials management, or a related supply chain function, ideally in electronics manufacturing.
SKILLSETS
- Prior experience in production planning, materials management, or related supply chain function, ideally in electronics manufacturing.
- Strong Excel skills. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, procurement, and warehouse teams.
- Organized and responsive under pressure, with the flexibility to switch between planning and hands-on warehouse support as needed.
